Finally Friday

Today feels like it has been a long day. I finished Grease Monkey’s Garage T-shirt design. The monkey is gonna go on the front like a little patch kind of. The plan text will go on the back. I can’t wait for Monday and Tuesday. Monday is food day hopefully I don’t forget and then Tuesday is the 8th grade career fair. Hopefully I get to help with it because I know quite a few of the Fairview 8th graders.

THURSDAY

This morning I worked some more on the t-shirt design for Grease Monkey Garage and then I worked in the office for Amanda. This afternoon I helped press the t-shirts for Mrs. Madsen.

Monday

I was not here this morning. I am having issues with my medicine again which I am not understanding and frankly I am scared to go back to the doctor and find out. I was here this afternoon I wasn’t really able to do much cause I am still off a little. I played some more with the Wrench in Matt’s design I am hoping eventually I will get it to were I like it. I hope I am feeling better by tomorrow so I can go and enjoy what ever the school has planned for the Ambassadors.

Friday the 13th

This morning we had an awesome discussion I feel. About where we can go with the classes we are taking career wise. It was really neat watching the light bulbs go off in everybody’s mind including mine. I love that I have this knowledge to pass on to my Daughter. This afternoon we had the Advisory Meetings and they all lasted till about 1:30. I was able to print Bailey a t-shirt for her Birthday tomorrow. I can’t believe she is going to be a 14 year old teenager.

Thursday

Today I did some videoing in Automotive. That was interesting. One of the videos we can’t use lol I show you which one. I also got to video them blowing up an air bag. That was a little scary. I also played in PhotoShop. Trying to make a shadow behind the text and trying to make the Indian Head look better.Here is me learning how to do Shadow.Here was me doing it my own way to look good with this. Boy my Fairview Jackets would have a fit if they knew what I was doing lol.

Wednesday

Today I watched a video to try and make a business card for Matt. The video said it was better to use InDesign and transfer it over to Illustrator. I didn’t think it looked good in either program probably because I am more use to PhotoShop. So this screenshot is the result of after wasting pretty much a whole day lol trying to learn the other programs just ended up doing it in PhotoShop. but hey it doesn’t hurt to learn new things to know you don’t like it right?

Thinking I am in trouble.

Really don’t understand why it is so hard for me to get things to stick. Anyway I spent all day finally figured out how to color in the fill for my Illustrator monkey. I am serious this monkey is driving me bananas.

Thursday

I feel like I am beating my head on a wall. Things will start clicking and then all the sudden nothing works. I have been trying to do this graphic for 4 days now and I am moving along at the pace of a snail. Here is a sketch using the pencil tool I think I like it better then the pen tool. Here is me trying to fill it in with color. I don’t like it and hopefully tomorrow I figure out how to fill it in better.

Illustrator

Illustrator and I are having a like/strongly dislike relationship lol. It has a lot of great quality’s I am just not artistic enough for it. This is what I tried to do in Illustrator. The outline of the gorilla I traced from a pic but the rest I tried to free hand with the Pencil tool and the mouse. This afternoon I worked on it some and followed along with some more lynda videos. I also did the map thing you asked me to do for Mrs. Harris I emailed it to you and to her. Here is a screenshot of what it looks like.

Oh Monday monday monday

Today is a Monday that feels like a Monday. Hope everything is ok with Mrs. Madsen. Today was super quite all the kids were are their best behavior. I worked in Illustrator trying to trace my friends tattoo to turn it in to a graphic design for his business cards and t shirts. I am having no luck at all. Here is the pic I used and here is all I have been able to come up with as far as tracing it. I stopped and started over several times today. I really wish there was a way I could get Illustrator. I follow the Lynda videos and I take notes nothing is sticking with me.
