case of the crud

I finished in Office administration and Management today. I feel like I got the case of the crud. I am hoping this is just allergies but the more time goes by the worse I feel. I am glad it is the weekend but unfortunately for me that just means more work lol between basketball games and now track starting next week I am one busy Momma oh well I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world. I just need this crude to go away cause ain’t nobody got time for that lol.

Almost finished

I only have about an hours worth of work left and then I will be finished with Office Administration and Management. Today I worked on the video Having difficult conversations and will finish it tomorrow. I have really enjoyed the videos by Britt Andreatta because they seem to be more focused on Psychological stuff. I really like learning things like that stuff pertaining to the brain that most people never think off in their everyday life. You can use it at work and use it in your personal life as well.

I am so sleepy

Today I finished the video Leading with Emotional Intelligence on Lynda.com. I finished the exercise files and turned them into you. I started the video communication fundamentals. I only have about 20 mins left of it and there were no exercise files for this video so I just followed along. After this video I only have 2 videos left and then I will be done with Office Administration and Management.

Oops!!

I got to unintentionally clean my keyboard and my desk today. Lesson learned don’t leave the lid off your water bottle just for a second to check something. Thank goodness it was only water and the keyboard is working as you can tell I am using it to blog lol. Today I watched the video for Managing Employee Performance Problems. There were no exercise file for this video so I took notes in Word. I put those on your desk. I also started the  video for Leading with emotional intelligence. I am following along with the exercise files. After watching these 2 videos I am not really sure If I would be a good leader but if that is what I must do so be it. I’m kind of wondering if I am to old to pursue Psychology I find it fascinating how much the human brain can control our emotions and everything else. I have also come to the realization I am a terrible speller and am so glad the computer and phones have a way to check our spelling lol. I fear though it is the reason I am a terrible speller because I know I don’t have to try to hard to get it right.

This morning I finished the Managing teams video on Lynda.com. I was not able to get to Excel but I will start that tomorrow. I won’t be here this afternoon because I have to go see my neurologist in Enid. Hopefully I won’t have another appointment for a while after this one.

It’s Friday.

I have never been more thankful for a Friday. Having to double up on my meds has made this a extremely long week. Today the only thing I got done was watching the Management Tips video. There wasn’t an exercise file for this video so I just took notes in Word and turned it in. This is what I looked like after I finally got that video finished. I didn’t think I was ever gonna finish it lol. I also tried to design something for a shirt for Bailey and I but I just could not make anything I liked I am having creatures block lol I noticed I spelled that wrong but I am going to leave it I think its more fitting.

Today I worked on the Office Administration and Management Lynda.com videos. I finished Building Business Relationships and turned in the worksheets for that. I started the Management Tips video. That video is 5 hours long. It doesn’t have any worksheets with it so I am following along and taking notes using word. I discovered I like typing up notes better then I like writing them. I have come to realize I am a terrible speller and lose track of what I am doing quickly. I hope it doesn’t effect my work to much. I am not a thinker and a doer at the same time lol.

I finished the video Management Fundamentals and turned in the worksheets. I also watched the Video Stepping up to Leadership. There were no exercise files for this video but it was very insightful on their views on being a leader. I also started the video Building Business Relationships. I have worked through 9 of the 12 pages from the exercise files.

Management Fundamentals

Today I worked in Management Fundamentals with Lynda.com. My hand is hurting from all this note taking. I really enjoy it though I feel like I am learning a lot. Manager skills are something you can use any where in life. I never really thought about it that way before I started this course.

Learning how to manage and lead people.

I wish WordPress would stop trying to change things. Today I worked on Lynda.com Office Administration and Management. I finished watching the video New Manager Fundamentals and turned in the worksheets for that. I then started on Management fundamentals and have gotten to Video 4. There is quite a bit of writing involved in the video but that is ok. I am the type of person that the more I can see, read and write I just might get it to stick. I am kind of liking the learning to manage people because I am on a committee of 50 people trying to organize a geocaching event that will host over 500 people in Chandler Oklahoma April 24,25,26 so this might come in handy to help us get better organized and able to communicate better which we are having a hard time doing.
